From the moment you arrive, you'll be floored at the amount of space you'll enjoy in the Great Blue Lodge! The main level of the home holds a spacious, inviting great room, with plenty of comfortable seating for you to gather around the wood-burning stove with family and friends, surrounded by the second-floor balcony with doors opening up in every direction to reveal space, space, and more space.

Gather round the immense farmhouse table with long benches for meals. The fully equipped kitchen with a walk-in pantry includes a double wide refrigerator with freezer and a gas range stovetop with oven. There is a microwave for your convenience, Keurig coffee maker, and a large butcher block kitchen island, providing all the culinary essentials for large group meals!

Upstairs, a balcony circles the entire lodge with amazing views out onto the surrounding woods. You'll also find not 1, not 2, but 3 master suites with plush king-sized beds, along with a fourth suite with 2 equally-plush queens.

The family suite offers lots of options for sleeping arrangements with 2 bedrooms: the first includes a queen-sized bed and a double futon, while the second includes 2 twin-over-full bunk beds. Every bedroom has a bathroom (several with deep soaking tubs), so there's plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy optimal comfort in this sprawling lodge!

In addition to the downstairs lounging area, you'll find a spacious game room on the third floor with a poker card table and board games, and a living area with deep easy chairs, and a second flat-screen TV for quieter viewing. You'll also find a large laundry room with oversized washer and 2 dryers, for your convenience and laundry needs.

Looking for a bit of sunshine? Head outdoors to the enormous deck for a soak in the large hot tub or just a little time to kick back, put up your feet, and enjoy a conversation with your favorite people while basking in the beautiful natural wilderness around you.

The 'Great Blue Lodge' not only offers luxe amenities and a beautiful interior, but it also boasts an incredible location near all the Mt. Hood lodges, outdoor recreation, restaurants and more!

In spring and summer, there explore the fabulous biking and hiking trails, get a thrill with the Alpine Slide, or cast your line in Trillium Lake for some trout. Mt. Hood Adventure is always a great choice for families and groups, as it offers everything from Malibu race cars and zip lines, to a bungee tower and tree top walk.

Come wintertime, the Mt. Hood area transforms into a snowy mecca! Your entire party will enjoy the easy access to all Mt. Hood lodges, with fantastic winter skiing, snow shoeing, and snowboarding.

While you're in the area, be sure to explore the darling historical town of Government Camp, which includes a general store, local restaurants, and multiple brewpubs.

You will need a vehicle to get to the lodge. From Nov-March you will need snow chains or 4 wheel drive with snow tires. If you attempt to drive up the mountain without either of these and have to call for help you will be fined by the local authorities for not having proper chains or tires on your vehicle. Driving on the mountain can be very dangerous without chains or 4 wheel drive/snow tire combo. There is transportation available from Government Camp up to Timberline and Meadow but you will have to investigate dates/times/pick up locations as they change frequently. I suggest doing an internet search if interested in advance of arrival as they book up fast.

Please note, you will need a snow pass to access certain areas for parking. You can find more information here: https://www.fs.usda.gov/main/mthood/passes-permits/recreation
