Located less than a mile from the entrance to Deception Pass State Park (the most visited park in Washington), you can view and photograph the glorious sunsets from the Deception Pass Bridge. There are hiking trails, walking and biking, saltwater shorelines, a swimming beach and fishing spots. You can beach comb, go crabbing, clam digging, kayaking and whale watching. There is even a tour of Deception Pass on a jet boat. At the house, you can relax on the spacious deck with a spectacular view of Cornet Bay County Park, right across the street. Within the house, you will find there's much fun to be had for both the adults and young ones.You won't have any trouble getting comfy in the living room. Lounge on soft chairs or the couch while you read a good book, watch TV, or take a quick nap. Check out the game room where you can play ping pong, darts and lots of fun board games. The living room features a 65" smart television with sound bar and BluRay DVD. In one bedroom, you'll find a 45" smart television. Located in the "rain-shadow" of the Olympic Mountains just to the West, Whidbey receives just half the annual rainfall as Seattle. The surrounding towns of Oak Harbor, Coupeville, Anacortes and LaConner afford you many opportunities for attractions and dining. This year, 2022, there will be a celebration to commemorate the 100-year anniversay of the building of Deception Pass Bridge The North end of the island is home to the US Naval Air Station at Oak Harbor, the largest town on the island. Driving through the center of the island reveals bucolic pastureland, forests and the very present rocky shores on both sides of the road. Phones open 9am to 7pm every day. For security, there may be outwardly facing security cameras, capable of constant recording depending on staffing. There may be interior decibel meters to report excessive noise. To allow enough time for full cleaning, check-In time is 5pm and Check-Out is 11am.
